Tour of Brooklyn Engagement Session | Kevin + Tikola

Brooklyn

Since Spring is finally gracing us with it’s bountiful colors and blooms, I wanted to throw back to one of the most colorful shoots I have ever done. Kevin and Tikola, who are getting married this summer back in the heart of DUMBO, wanted to do a shoot throughout some of Brooklyn’s most scenic spots. We hit up the Brooklyn Bridge, downtown DUMBO and then ventured out to the Bushwick Collective. I loved this combination of spots where I found myself often (Brooklyn Bridge Park is my go-to Brooklyn engagement shoot spot) and the totally new smorgasbord of Bushwick Collective’s amazing street art and graffiti.

The best part of all though had to be Tikola and Kevin’s vibrant love for one another. I barely had to direct these two into playful dances or sweet kisses. Plus they always outshone their rather badass environment. Needless to say, I am counting the days until they tie the knot!

Despite all the tourists surrounding us, Kevin and Tikola commanded attention on the Brooklyn Bridge.

Tikola may have my favorite smile, period.

Although it isn’t where Kevin proposed, this wall is a pretty good reminder of popping the question. And Tikola’s answer.

Who doesn’t love pop art wedding-themed zombie murals?

Bushwick Collective literally felt like a playground, I can’t believe all of this was within 2 blocks. Definitely suggesting it to every couple who is looking for a Brooklyn engagement shoot.
